We will be moving our store and warehouse from Mayflower Marina in Plymouth to Churchstow, between Kingsbridge and Salcombe.
We will be closing on Tuesday 10th September in Plymouth and opening on Monday 16th September in Churchstow. All orders placed online between 11th and 15th September will be dispatched on Monday 16th September. After this orders will be processed as norma.
After some years in Mayflower Marina we have found the need to change our warehouse set up to reflect better the needs of our worldwide customer base. This will mean a better organised and expanded storage space, a reduction in staff travel time and improvement in our efficency.
It has been great to be at the heart of the Plymouth marine community and we will look back fondly on the friends we have made, yachts we have seen set sail for new destinations and the warm welcome from the people of Plymouth.
Why are we moving? Primarily to improve customer service and stay top of our game. The move will reduce commute times each day by about 2 hours, vastly improving our carbon footprint and allows us more time to concentrate on serving customers. Secondly we need more storage space and room to expand, our core focus on classic boat parts has not got enough space in Plymouth yet is a big part of the Captain Watts passion so we will now be able to hold more stock and ship more quickly whereever you may be in the world.
From Monday 16th September we will be based opposite Triocean Surf and adjacent to Briggs RIBS in South Hams Business Park, Churchstow - perfectly positioned for those on their way to or moored in Kingsbridge or Salcombe and within easy reach of Darmouth. With some of he best beaches in the world and the most highly regarded sailing waters in the UK within a few miles we are now positioned for exciting growth (and a bit more evening sailing minus the commute!)
Good luck
Good luck with the move -
