Sikaflex 291i Marine Sealant Black 300ml

Sikaflex 291i black is a multi-purpose sealant and bedding compound used in marine, caravan and some automotive sectors. It remains elastic as a sealant making perfect for boats and yachts where vibration and movement of parts is expected. The sealant is sea water and hydrolysis resistant, low odour and solvent free.

Sikaflex 291i bonds to most common surfaces including wood, metals, particularly aluminum (in­cluding anodized finishes), metal primers and paint coatings (2-C systems), or ceramic materials, plastics such as GRP (unsaturated polyester resin), ABS, etc. Clear plastics and mineral glass should not be bonded with Sikaflex®-292i. Sikaflex 291i can over overpainted by most paint systems (Please see the data sheet for more information)and the tack-free time (working time) is circa 1 hour depending on humidity and temperature.

The Sikaflex 291i can be used both above and below the waterline. The sealant is highly resistant from salt water and has excellent bond strength. The product can be applied by squeezing or brushing it into place. This stable sealant can be painted and sanded.
