Splicing, Whipping and Stitching

Splicing your lines, stitch leather or sales and whip your rope. Splicing especially can be a bit of an art, the right tools make it much easier but we also recommend either spending half an hour with a salty old sea dog or buy a book to help you, or watch as mush youtube as you can. 

Splicing kits including fids and needles will definitely help, opening up the rope, be sure to consider the type of rope you are working with, double braid for example will behave differently to a simpler rope.
