The 495 Fast Release fairlead features low-friction, angled stainless steel line guides on the exit side of the cleat. The angled lead keeps the line away from the cam to eliminate unexpected recleats during manoeuvres. Use for fast spinnaker take-downs during mark roundings - anywhere fast release is crucial. Harken Cam fairleads are made of tough, abrasion-resistant composite. Use the 495 with 468 and 471 Micro Cam-Matics®.

Part of the Carbo Harken range, the Micro Carbo Cam is ideal for situations where weight is an issue (e.g. dinghy racing). Like all Harken Cam Cleats, the design is tweaked so that you can push the line down into the cleat rather than have to pull it through. This means you can keep maximum load as you cleat. The teeth are rounded to reduce wear and tear on the line. The lightweight fibre reinforced Carbo Cams are UV protected for longevity. The Carbo Cam Cleat is also suitable for locations where adjustments are less frequent but you still require high levels of control and instant release.
