Icom M330GE DSC Fixed VHF with GPS

The M330GE is a compact fixed VHF with a great balance of specifications vs price from Icom.

At 35% smaller than its predecessor, it fits in cockpits and chart tables where older fixed sets struggled for space. The unit is compact, measuring just 156mm deep, 66mm tall and 111mm wide and includes a built-in GPS with an external antenna connection. 

Class D DSC monitors channel 70 continuously, even while you're on a working channel. The mic includes a channel 16 button and channel change controls, so you don't have to reach for the set. 

The VHF is waterproof to IPX7 (meaning it can withstand being submerged at 1 metre for 30 minutes).  The speaker is designed to stay clear at full volume, which removes the need for an external speaker in most installations, whilst the AquaQuake system shakes the water off the speaker.  

For a boat that needs a reliable, properly equipped fixed VHF without the cost or complexity of a multi-station system, the M330GE is a good choice of VHF.
