One of the more tradtional deck lights from Davey, the rectangular Rabetted deck prism is set into the deck and brings light from above down below. Installation requires the glass to be firstly set in to the deck (thus your deck needs to be thick enough to hold the glass and accept that people will walk over it) and the gunmetal frame is then laid over the rim of the glass and screwed down. You will need a good quality marine sealant to securely set the glass in to the deck. In production since the early 1900's, Davey deck lights and prisms are a tried and tested method to get light down below in your classic vessel.
