Heating on a classic boat can be controversial: to purists, the classic ethos does not really include modern diesel or gas heaters. The Davey cast iron stove however is an ideal compromise. Small enough that it tucks neatly in a corner and that you can pick it up to install it yourself, the cast iron stove is perfect for boats up to about 30ft. It works well with small fuels such as coalite (there is certainly no room for large logs). Fuel is loaded from the top and it is not suitable for charcoal. The stove is supplied with two internal grids and an ash pan. It is easy to use and controllable with an adjustable air intake. Designed for use at sea, the stove door will remain securely shut in the roughest of seas. The dimensions are as follows: 403 mm tall, 203 mm deep and 60mm flue (accepts 64mm flue pipe). As an option available in vitreous enamel coloured red, blue or green (these are special orders and we will need to contact you to confirm delivery time scales, please feel free to check availablity with us prior to ordering).
